On behalf of the Republic of Austria, we prepared an expert opinion on the number and whereabouts of the various Apple Tree paintings by Gustav Klimt. As a result we were able to identify the paintings "Roses under Trees" for the first time as an apple tree depiction - an importat step in the restitution of the painting to the heirs after Nora Stiasny by the French government in 2021.
